Title: Church Street - Set 1
| Church Street is seen here in 1906 in a picture taken by well-known Morley photographer, Richard Simpson.
He lived in the long curved terrace on the right hand side of the street and had a darkroom/studio near to the Nelson Inn. "Shoemaker Cottages", where the women are standing, and all the other buildings on this side of the street were cleared away in about 1960. They were replaced by a petrol station which in its turn was later demolished. This land was then used to build several office blocks.
