Title: Peel Street and Wesley Street - Set 1
|
 |
| Benjamin Peel Hepworth, a Mayor and Freeman of Morley Borough, took this photo near the junctions of Peel Street and Wesley Street with Queen Street in April 1934. A year later, tramways were terminated and the demolition of Scarth's mill on the corner of Wesley Street was complete. On the other corner, the Queen Street Wesleyan Sunday School stood until 1968 when it was replaced by a supermarket.
