Title: Town Hall side of Queen Street - Set 1
|
 |
| Early morning sunshine on the Town Hall side of Queen Street picks out Harry Mather's (hairdresser and tobacconist), Humberstone's (clothiers/outfitters), Taylor's Drug Co., Albert Webster's (butchers) and James Thomas (tobacconist). In the shadows at the opposite side of the road in 1906 was the Manor House, home of Dr. Sydney Steele and some wooden lock-up shops. More modern stone buildings were close to the Town Hall.
