Title: Lower Scatcherd Hill, Morley - Set 2
|
 |
| World headlines even sometimes featured on local newspaper placards. The event making the Morley Observer posters in June 1904 was the sinking of the Russian fleet by the Japanese after sailing halfway round the world. This photograph was taken by Dan Wilkinson to sell in A. Wilkinson's newsagents in Morley Bottoms. The view is looking up Lower Scatcherd Hill and shows many young children in the street.
