| This is a late 19th century view of a horse-drawn coach and passengers on the premises of The Cross Keys on Britannia Road. The inn is one of the oldest of all the wayside inns in Morley, dating from before 1800. ft was the home of the Parrock Nook Band, a comedy musical group much in demand between 1910 and 1930 and it acted as a base for Friendly Societies, insurance schemes for working-class people.
