Title: Aerial view from the Town Hall - Set 3
|
 |
| This view over Morley from the Town Hall, c. 1950, shows a number of mill chimneys, some smoking, testifying to the activity of the Textile Trade. The Prospect Mill, to the middle-left, was regarded as a 'good’ mill, looking after its workers well and managing to keep a full order book until the 1970s. The clock on St Mary's Church to the right pre-dated that on the Town Hall and was known as The Ticker of Troy. |
