1880s. This is one of three houses which were demolished in the late 1880s to make way for the new Town Hall. It belonged to Thomas Dixon and was at the corner of Queen Street and Albion Street. It was also used as Firth’s Photographic Studio and it was here that some of the photos for William Smith’s books were produced.
