Sergeant Clough died of pneumonia on active service in France 31.10.1918, very shortly before the Armistice of 11th November 1918. He was awarded the M.C. and his wife was with him when he died. The photo was taken in Yorkshire whilst he was home on leave.
He was born on Hesketh Lane, and his name is on Tingley Chapel War Memorial. He was buried in France
